IQOS ILUMA i Holder Touch Screen signs that indicate device features
Each new feature on your IQOS ILUMA i PRIME and IQOS ILUMA i device has its own display signs. Pay attention to the meaning of Touch Screen signs that appear, such as the LED light ring around the screen and numbers and letters.
Pre-heating
When the stick is pre-heating, which occurs automatically (Autostart) or after swiping up on the Touch Screen, it will vibrate and show a light ring extending counterclockwise.
Pause Mode
When you start a pause, the screen will display 2 upper vertical dashes with the light ring extending counterclockwise. During the pause, the LEDs around the Touch Screen will fade out one by one counterclockwise, from the 12-noon position as the pause duration counts down. Learn about Pause Mode
Performance Mode
Performance Mode is enabled by default on the IQOS app under the FlexBattery setting. In this mode, you’ll see 2 horizontal dashes—representing available uses—with the light ring extending counterclockwise.
Eco Mode
A single horizontal dash in the centre with the light ring extending counterclockwise indicates that Eco Mode is activated. Switch between Eco Mode and Performance Mode on the IQOS app.

Sometimes, signs will appear on the Touch Screen to alert you to a device-related issue.

Static ‘0’
There are no more experiences available from your Holder.
‘0’ flashing 3 times

1 or 2 horizontal lines blinking 8 times
There may be an issue with the Holder’s battery, which is preventing it from holding any charge. Check if the device is eligible for replacement
‘E’ flashing 3 times
Your device is either near a magnet which is affecting it, or it’s malfunctioning, or a firmware update was interrupted or failed. Perform a device reset
Horizontal line and a circle underneath
The device is locked. You can deactivate the ‘Device Lock’ feature via the IQOS app.
