How does IQOS ILUMA i work?
A similarity that the new IQOS ILUMA i and the earlier version IQOS ILUMA share is their technology; they both use our bladeless SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM™.
With IQOS ILUMA i, you will enjoy the same seamless experience provided by IQOS ILUMA™ because it, too, heats SMARTCORE STICKS from their core, producing no smoke and no ash. However, the new IQOS ILUMA i works a bit differently as it comes with additional features for a more flexible experience.
Note: IQOS ILUMA i PRIME and IQOS ILUMA i devices function in the same way and have the same advanced features, but there are aesthetic differences which set them apart.
The Pocket Charger of the IQOS ILUMA i mid-range device features our original tilt-door design and the Holder has a black Touch Screen, while our top-of-the-range device, IQOS ILUMA i PRIME, has a stylish wrap closure and colour-matched Touch Screen.
What’s new with the IQOS ILUMA i device
•Touch Screen
The new Touch Screen on the device’s Holder allows you to quickly see information about your experience. Simply swipe up over the Touch Screen to quickly know your preheating status or the time left of your current experience.
•Smart features
To personalise your experiences, IQOS ILUMA i includes a range of adaptable smart features like Pause Mode, FlexPuff, and FlexBattery:
-With the Pause Mode, you can pause your experience for up to 8 minutes and resume it where you left off*. Learn about Pause Mode
-FlexPuff lets you enjoy experiences at your own pace, and depending on the way you puff, the Holder may provide up to 4 extra puffs (on top of 14 puffs)**. Learn about FlexPuff
-FlexBattery enables you to use your Holder battery either in Performance Mode (by default) or in Eco Mode to prolong Holder battery lifespan***. Learn about FlexBattery
*Only available in Performance Mode, during the first 3 minutes or 8 puffs of the experience. When pause is activated, Performance Mode gives you up to 2 consecutive experiences and pause is available only for 1 of them.
**FlexPuff is designed to work with tobacco sticks. Activation and number of puffs depend on individual usage patterns, thus extra puffs might not apply to all adult consumers and/or experiences. FlexPuff does not activate when pause is used.
***Only when fully used on Eco Mode throughout the lifespan of the Holder and may vary depending on personal consumption.
